03/25 One day in Fort Wayne

At first my host mother showed us where she works. It’s an automobile factory by General motors at the outskirts of the city.

Afterwards we went to Cheddar’s: A restaurant, which is serving American food and cocktails.  My host mother also used to work there. I had the Monte Cristo sandwich with Smoked ham, smoked turkey, two cheeses, battered and fried with raspberry preserves and dusted with powdered sugar, which was very delicious.

After we finished eating we drove to the mall in Fort Wayne. There we went to the build a bear shop where you can make your own soft toy. You choose one and you can give it a voice, a smell, a heartbeat and some other items. If you want to you can also dress it and give it a name. Actually it’s for kids but we didn’t care. Furthermore we went to Forever 21, Bath & Body Works and some other shops. They had generally many shops but unfortunately no one with decorating chairs…

In the evening we decided to go to Ivanhoe in Upland where you can buy ice cream, shakes and snacks. I had a Mint chocolate chip shake, which was very good. We were back at home by 9pm.
